Now that I’m retired I spend a lot of my time outdoors here in sunny Florida. I kayak, paddle board, sail, bicycle, do yoga, and occasionally run. I still find time to tinker with electronics projects and do some programming. When I retired a friend of mine bet me $1.00 I’d end up coding again. I think I lasted a year before I felt the need to use python to build something. I sent him his dollar.

My electronics projects vary from fixing old valve-based guitar amplifiers (tubes if you live in the US), to small microcomputer projects based on Arduino and Teensy boards.

I have also spent a fair amount of my retirement traveling. That stopped during the Covid period. I’ve done a few trips since then but have not got back to traveling as much as I’d like. I tend to take a lot of photographs when I travel. I’m not much of a photographer, and I’m a bit lazy about selecting what pictures to post so my website is cluttered with pretty much all the pictures I’ve taken around the World.

During my travels I usually write a journal and do daily posts to Facebook, with an occasional Instagram post if I find some good street art.
